Congratulations to our very own Abed Teweldebrhan on his 2nd place finish in today’s Swansea bay 10k outstanding performance Abed here’s to a strong cross country season for you . In addition to Abed, we had 3 U17 women competing: Ellie Robinson 15th overall, 2nd in U20 age category Caitlin Jones & Seren Jones each making her 10k debut Well done to all the Newport Athletes that ran in Swansea in very poor conditions. Abed Smashing Road Races
Abed Teweldebrhan has been on fire recently... He was third in a quality field in the Newport 10K on Sunday 27th May in a great time 31.32.3 He followed that up with a brilliant 3rd place in the Welsh 5K Championships 14.43 Thanks to Paul Stillman for the pictures. #NewportHarriers #RoadRaces

Pontypool 10k 2018
Sunday 25th February 2018 Sunday 25th February 2018 saw the start of the annual St Davids Hospice Care Pontypool 10k. This year there were a number of Newport Harriers that braved the cold, crisp conditions to compete in a field of 600 runners. We had a mixture of club runners this year, both in the Senior categories for the full 10k run, and even in the Junior categories in the first ever 2k family fun run! 2018 Lliswerry 8 Race
Sunday 28th January 2018 saw the start of the annual Lliswerry 8 Road Race. For some runners, the Lliswerry 8 is used as a time trial race leading up to spring marathon season. For others, it's a chance to run their first road race knowing that the course is not too demanding, deemed ‘the flattest on the planet’.
