Under 15 Welsh Junior League

Harriers Hill looked more like Brighton beach today with the smell of factor 50 suntan lotion in the air, and boy did we need it! A glorious super Sunday saw the U15 Team pull out some hot performances. Newbie Walker Price started the track events in the 80m Hurdles, came 2nd in 12.72. His day got even better in the High Jump 1st, 1.67m which ranks him 2nd in Wales and a strong 100m (4th) in 12.29. Well done Walker, you are our ATHLETE OF THE MATCH. Logan Maskell, Efan Bentall and team mate Spencer Daniels each produced some fine form sprinting, paired up in the Long jump and gained some valuable points. Our regular sprint girls Erika Jarrett and Olivia Reid came through bringing home together 42 points! Not to be out done the Middle Distance guys Daniel Meehan, Issac Jones, Joshua Jones, Poppy Stowell, Ashleigh Steer, Lily Hart and Erin Griffiths earned the respect from the crowd in 26* heat and gave us a number of personal bests. The multi-eventers Antonia Dawes, Cate Davies, Lottie Van Toop, Cordial Goodger, Christina Griffith, Sam Breese and Bethan Morgan tackled the three disciplines with determination and gave everything, all achieved PB’s. The throwers Jack Lawrence, Morgan Keen Williams, Ellie-Mae Wainwright, Amelia Fettis and Katelyn Seville, continued on the very high standards and entertained the Cardiff crowd in style. The penultimate track event saw Sapphire Samuel take top points in the 1000m Walk, and she loved it! Well done Miss Samuel 👍🏼 Lastly to our relays saw the girls Olivia, Erika, Cate and Cordelia in 2nd place, looked very strong. The boys, with a late replacement, Daniel, Sam and Efan, storming his way down the final hundred was Spencer just missing out on 2nd place by a whisker! All in all One Very Very Happy Team Manager. Congratulations U15 Team 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
