Non Thomas Open Grand Prix and Welsh Indoor Masters Championships Day 2

Kyle Arnold won the 60m Senior Hurdles with a time of 8.6 secs and 7.34 not long after in the 60m. Also competing in the 60m was Rutherford with a time of 7.27.

Owen Locke was just outside his pb with a great run of 1:58.99

Remi Adebiyi smashed his pb with a very impressive run in the Welsh Championships 3000m

Luke Gawthorn also smashed his pb in the Mens open 1500m 4:26.57. Nice one Luke!

Lowri Thomas also competed in the 1500m with a time of 5:30.48

Sarah Gibbs Competed in the open 200m with a time of 27.55

A quiet day in the field for most of Newport Harriers but we did see Gwennan Lewis throw 9059 in the 4kg shot.

Next up on Track were the Masters athletes 35 and over...

First up was Stuart 'The Bullet' Pearce who smashed his pb with a great time of 7.66 to take gold in the M40 category. Also in the same Category Ian Willamson took bronze with 9.07 and he also was 1st M40 shot with 4 throws over 9 metres. Winning throw 9m 27cm to scoop the gold.

Keith Powell came 4th in the M50 category in a time of 8.55.. Keith also entered the open pole vault and managed a height of 2.6m. Keith also picked up a bronze medal in the High Jump wit a respectable 1.30m jump

The amazing Glyn Sutton won gold in the M70 category with a great time of 8.34

In the womens 60m Juliet Sidney AKA 'Pocket Rocket'narrowly won gold in a closely fought contest that saw Louise Kirby picking up Bronze in her first ever indoor 60m A promising young talent! She also picked up bronze in the masters 400m following a bout of flu!
