Midland League - Be Part Of The TEAM!

We just wanted to let you know the dates for this year’s Midlands League fixtures so that you can add them in your diary and understand if you or your athletes are eligible to compete

To be eligible to compete an athlete must be a fully paid-up member of Newport Harriers and, as this is a senior league, must be an U17, U20 or Senior athlete.

For each event the club can declare an “A” and “B” competitor with most events also having guest spaces. We will try and ensure that athletes who put themselves forward to compete are given the chance to. Where we have more athletes than spaces, athletes will be selected on the basis of personal/season’s best performances. However, I don't want this to discourage any athlete as there are many opportunities on the day to compete. Due to sickness and injury the list of competitors can change considerably (so I've been informed, anyway) so places will often open up in the run up to each meet. Therefore please put yourself forward to support the club. Thank you!

The fixture dates for 2018 are as follows:

Sunday 6th May – Kidderminster & Stourpourt AC - Stourport

Saturday 2nd June – Burton AC – Burton

Saturday 7th July – Newport

Sunday 5th August – Solihull & Small Heath AC – Redditch

There is normally a bus laid on for away fixtures that leaves from Newport Stadium. Last year this cost £5 per passenger. Of course if coaches and/or athletes would prefer to arrange their own transport I am happy to provide the postcode for away fixtures too.

Please contact Claire Barraclough on clairebnewportharriers@gmail.com for more infiomation and to put your name forward.

We look forward to hearing from you soon. Be part of Team Midlands this year!
