4x200m

With help from Mark Roche and newbie coach Hannah Glastonbury, we put together Junior relay teams in the Welsh Senior Competition on Saturday. Our U13 & U15 Boys and Girls made some excellent performances, for some, this was their first time competing in a 200m indoors.

U13 Girls

1st leg - Tiwaah Boateng

2nd leg - Nia Parry

3rd leg - Honey Tovey

4th leg - Olivia Gillespie

Reserve Alyssa Fitzgerald

Our U13’s had an excellent first leg and with nerves of steel came home in 2nd place with a time of 2.02.29.

U15 Girls

1st leg - Erika Jarrett

2nd leg - Olivia Reid

3rd leg - Antonia Dawes

4th leg - Isabel Haden

1st leg - Amelia Roche

2nd leg - Emily Grace

3rd leg - Cordelia Goodger

4th leg - Libby Davidson

Reserve Cate Davies

Cate was on standby right to the last moment and saw her team mates run some impressive sprinting. Our first team easily won their heat in 1.54.17 and our second team in fourth in a time of 2.02.80.

U15 Boys

1st leg - Kelechi Maduako

2nd leg - Spencer Daniels

3rd leg - Efan Bentall

4th leg - Joseph Wayte

The boys had an equally outstanding race, leading from the start and running just outside the club record. Their time was 1.46.42.

Three of the four teams qualified for the finals in March. Mark, Hannah and myself are looking forward to organising some practice relay sessions over the next four weeks and hopefully with some more fantastic performances bring back some silverware.

Thank you to all the parents for their support, look forward to seeing you all for the finals at the Welsh International on 4th March in Cardiff.
