Just over a year ago Ivor Hopkins moved from Carmarthen to Chepstow. He coached for more than 20 years, 6of them at Carmarthen and on moving to Chepstow he offered his help at Newport. Several coaches were struggling with the number of athletes they were working with at the time and during the winter of 2016/17 Ivor worked with Hilary and Ken. At the start of the summer he joined Mike Adams and worked with several of Mike's athletes. Sadly 5 weeks ago Ivor was diagnosed with cancer of the gall bladder and he passed away earlier this week. Our thoughts are with his wife Gillian and family at this sad time.
