The concluding fixture of the 5-race series took place at Blaise Castle and Newport Harriers left with medals of all hue.

Remi Adebiyi won the U20 Men’s race, and won the overall gold medal. Luke Gawthorn was 8th on the day and 5th overall, and combined with Jackson Mountford’s contribution from earlier races they took team silver.

In U13 Boys Leo Stark was 2nd behind Cardiff Archers’ Loui Camilleri and 2nd overall behind Loui. Our U13 Boys finished 8th.

Spencer Smith took bronze in U17 Men having finished 9th on the day. Michael Owen had his best run of the season in 22nd, followed by Oscar Denton in 31st, and the team were 5th.

In U11 the medals go down to 5th place, so Anya Brady took home a 4th place medal, finishing 11th on the day. Emily Walker was two places behind in 13th, then Poppy Bevan 62nd, Millie Williams 82nd and Ffion Williams 92nd. The U11 Girls were 6th on the team table.

Our U15 Girls took bronze medal. Lily Williams was 12th on the day and 8th on the leader board, followed by Lily Hart 13th, Elin Griffiths 14th, Emily Wilcox 21st, Alyssa Baker 27th, Antonia Dawes 38th, and Ashleigh Steer 41st.

In U15 Boys Josh Jones was 13th on the day to finish 7th on the individual table, followed in by Isaac Jones 34th. The team finished 12th. Ellie Robinson was 10th overall in U17 Women, finishing 9th at Blaise, followed by Caitlin Jones 23rd. The team were just out of the medals in 4th place.

The in-form Ceri Griffiths was 2nd at Blaise Castle in U13 Girls, followed by Amy Garrod 11th and Freya Taylor 20th, to place the team 13th. We had a strong presence in U11 Boys: Vaughn Hughes 28th, Dylan Evans 36th, Tom Garrod 39th, Isaac Barry 55th, Sebastian Humphreys 59th, James Owen 74th, and Rory Edwards 89th. Our U11 Boys were 5th.

We had no Senior Men competing at Blaise Castle, and the team ended 12th and bottom of Division 2 and will be relegated.

Chloe Powell lifted the senior squad with a top 100 finish in the Women’s race, finishing 95th. Our Senior Women finished 12th in Division 3.
