Gwent Cross Country League (Race 3)

Senior Mens Team - Pembrey

Abed Teweldebrhan achieved his highest position so far in Gwent League with a brilliant 2nd place in the Senior Men’s race. This is our first top 3 senior finish this century and propels Abed to 1st place on the overall leader board, but with 3 points covering the top 3 there is still everything to play for in the two remaining races.

Our other 2nd place of the day came from Lily Williams, who moves to 2nd overall in U13 Girls. Ceri Griffiths moved through the field to come 8th in the same race.

Our U17 charge came from Remi Adebiyi and Ellie Robinson who were 3rd in men’s and women’s races respectively. Spencer Smith was 5th on the day but moves to 2nd on the leader board. Our U17 Men strengthened their 2nd place in the team competition, while the women hold on to 3rd place.

Top 10 finishes came from Owen Locke (5th U20 Men), Phoebe Marsden (9th U20 Women), and Elin Griffiths (10th U15 Girls). Michael Owen was 16th in U15 Boys but moved up two places to 7th on the leader board.

In the other age groups our top finishers were Ann Saxena (11th Masters 55), Anya Brady (21st U11 Girls), Isaac Jones (41st U13 Boys), Joseph Hall (48th U11 Boys), and Victoria Belcher (137th Senior Women). Our top men’s Master on the leader board is Darryn McAtee (17th M55).
