England Athletics Junior Indoor Championships

23-24 February, Sheffield

As well as Remi’s 1500m gold medal, Newport athletes Ellie-Mae Wainwright, Amelia Fettis and Jackson Mountford were also competing.

Ellie-Mae was 4th in U15 Girls pole vault. She cleared 3.00 which was a PB. This breaks her own U15 club record, and also equals the Senior club record set by Bonnie Elms in 1997.

Amelia competed in the U15 Shot, made the top 8 for a further 3 throws and placed 6th.

Jackson went out in the 1500m heats in a slow tactical race but hopefully gained from the experience of competing at this level.
